Fire & Emergency Response

Dedicated volunteer firefighters ready to respond when every second counts, protecting lives and property. Local volunteers respond when our community needs help. Bay Center Volunteer Fire Department responds to structure and wildland fires, vehicle collisions, rescues, hazardous conditions, and other emergencies.

Volunteers train throughout the year and maintain apparatus, equipment, and readiness so they can respond as safely and effectively as possible.

Medical Response

Medical emergencies are an important part of local fire-department response. Bay Center volunteers may arrive before transporting EMS and, within their training and certifications, can provide initial assistance, help secure the scene, control traffic, assist ambulance crews, and support patient movement and rescue operations.

Fire apparatus can also provide scene lighting, rescue equipment, medical supplies, and additional responders. Ambulance transport is provided and funded separately through the EMS system.
